MicroSnap E. coli - Rapid Detection and Enumeration Test
Documents
Overview
MicroSnap® E. coli delivers rapid, quantitative E. coli food testing for processing facilities. This AOAC-validated bioluminogenic test provides accurate enumeration results within 6 hours, enabling same-shift product release decisions. The system detects 1 to 10,000 CFU across diverse sample types including environmental surfaces, dairy products, beverages, seafood, and produce. A streamlined three-step workflow minimizes hands-on time while the EnSURE® Touch luminometer automatically converts readings to CFU. Integrated with SureTrend® Cloud analytics for real-time data management and audit-ready compliance documentation.
Same Shift Results: Rapid test results are essential to releasing product quickly. The MicroSnap® family of rapid indicator organism tests enables food safety and quality manager to enumerate samples in 6 hours and to determine presence/absence in 8 hours. Simply collect sample, incubate and read with a Hygiena® Luminometer. Contact us for instructions specific to your application.
Reduce Costs and Shorten Release Cycles: While sending samples to the lab for PCR analysis can be necessary for a specific application, simpler more cost-effective solutions can supplement your testing protocols. Integrating MicroSnap® as a rapid indicator test within your testing protocol will reduce material cost, shipping costs and lab fees. Plus, a rapid test also means shorter production hold times and lower inventory holding costs, all leading to more cost savings.
Flexible and Easy-to-Use Format: MicroSnap’s efficient design makes microorganism testing flexible and easy. It can be used for both surfaces and samples. Both options use a simple 2-step process: enrichment and detection. Plus, the patented Snap-Valve holds a precise amount of specific enrichment broth, ready to be used for either product or surface samples. Within the enrichment device is a built-in pipette, enabling convenient and efficient transfer of enriched samples to the detection device. The enriched sample is read on a Hygiena® luminometer, which means no tedious colony counting is necessary. Use the RLU to CFU conversion table to determine the outcome. Microorganism testing has never been easier.
Rapid Contamination Screening. Knowing microbial levels the same day of production means reduced costs and shortened release cycles
Patented Snap-Valve Design. All of sample stays inside device during activation- a simple thumb and forefinger snap- for safe, accurate detection
Reduces Costs. Rapid testing means shorter production hold times, reducing inventory holding costs
Complete Monitoring System. A full ATP monitoring solution provides rapid, easily interpretable results with integrated software system
Compatible with EnSURE Touch. Single system to capture, quantitate, analyze and trend data allows optimization of your EM program

Frequently asked questions
Where do I find the SDS or a COA / COC?
Under Documents on this page: the safety data sheet for your region, the instructions for use and the product certificates. For a lot-specific certificate of analysis or conformance, contact support with the lot number.
Which swab works with my luminometer?
UltraSnap and SuperSnap surface ATP tests, and the AquaSnap water tests, are read by the EnSURE Touch monitoring system. Check the compatible instrument in the specifications.
Why do I need to sign in to see a price?
Prices are account prices. Signing in applies the contract held against your account before a price is shown.
How are documents kept current?
Hygiena maintains the product data and documents at the source. When an SDS, an IFU or a certificate is revised, the product page carries the new version.
